I'm trying to decide on getting a swap disc setup or the DMS4 EZI mod so
I can play a couple of PS2 games that get a Disc Read Error, but I am
able to save a copy on my PC.

I don't care about having to swap discs just as long as all of my
backups will work. What is the success play rate between the two
methods?

I'm just looking for a reliable way to play my games before they all end
up as coasters.

All help is appreciated

The EZI is not easy. Though solder-free, it is still a VERY delicate
install. The biggest and most common problem is bending the legs on the DSP.
This link is to DMS's official forum if you want to read through about the
EZI:

The fliptop/swap combo is a nice, easy way to use your backups, but not all
games work right off the back. Some need patches, rebuilding, or multiple
swaps between a loader disc and the swap disc. I've used both and am now
using the DMS4 Lite. It's a nice chip. Not a hard install if you have steady
hands. Others will beg to differ.
