swap file setting

i allocated drive "x" (1gb) as my swap file drive, but when i remove the swap from c: and put it on x:, i get an error that it is too small etc.... i have ~130 mb physical ram and i was setting min and max at 400. what am i doing wrong?

How big was your one on C?

it was 190-360 or something like that. isnt the whole purpose of creating a swap drive so that you can have an unfragmented swap file? why would i HAVE to keep it on c:?

Yea it is partly, strange it doesn't let you make it. Did you try making it bigger than the 400 or whatever you tried?

Try allocating a 2MB file on C, and a 195 minimum-390 maximum file on the partition reserved for the paging file.
