Hello!
I was wondering if I can put my prebuilt pc into a new case. I got an asus vivo pc x which is very small, and I want a bigger case.
But idk if its possible.
Can I do it like this : I just open my current case and take the whole pc out and not taking it apart because its prebuilt and put it in a new case? does that work?

you'll need to remove the motherboard from the old case minimally.

take a snapshot of the original setup - may help you later on.

disconnecting some of the pieces makes migration easier, big note: ground yourself by contacting the bare metal of the case before contacting components! saves a lot of the errors you see here

It's probably a good thing it's an ASUS you've got, I would think that there's a slight chance it's possible then.

However, I recently came across an Acer Z390 ATX standard in pretty much every way PC, which I wanted to swap to a different case. But the connections for the power switch, reset switch, HDD LED and so on, were completely different from anything else I've ever come across. This made it impossible to switch to a different case.

So it is definately not always a straight forward job

Almost certainly not...🙁

Very much a non-standard configuration.
