Windows 7

Swapped ssd between laptop for a few days then swapped them back. Now will only boot into windows in safe mode.

Tried
Win 7 repair using disk
Uninstalling vid drivers
sfc scannow

Solution
Huh...
Maybe investigate REPAIR MODE (via W7 Install USB stick):

No luck.

How would I check this ?

Okay, see if there is a recent RESTORE POINT (system restore) and if so restore that. It deletes any application installed AFTER the restore point date (it should give a list if you ask) but not FILES.

Google for how. https://www.dummies.com/computers/operating-systems/windows-7/how-to-create-a-system-restore-point-in-windows-7/

As per above I think clicking "System Restore" takes you to a list of restore points (if you have any). If that feature is not enabled you should do so for C-drive.

You tried MSCONFIG but look at the second option.

Tried option 2 in the second link, it wouldn't work. I put the ssd in question into another laptop and boots up normally.
