Swapped GPU Nvdia to Msi add/rem nvdriver black screen

Im stuck at the stage where I dont know if its safe to plug in this MSI GPU and proceed. My motherboard seems to not have an integrated gfx, after uninstalling the primary driver (still have the sound control settings of the nvdia experience installed) my screen went black. After some reading I concluded I needed to pull out my gtx460 and try booting it without aey card support, atleast my monitor isnt stuck in sleep mode anymore. Could I just boot up with the MSI, go in recovery/safemode and uninstall the remaining nvdia drivers and go on with msi?

Can give more detail? is that 460 your old or new card ypu try to install to your pc? Psu wattage?

My old card wax a Nvdia Gtx460, and this new card is a Radeon 7078. I have a 625-650 Watt attached now. So far I ended up installing it, and the driver's.

use DDU to uninstall your current driver. then reinstall driver for your 7870. make sure you got much recent drivers for your 7870 instead of using drivers from the supplied disc. you can get DDU here:
