I have two Dell e6420 laptops. Laptop A had a 1366x768 and Laptop B had a 1600x900 display. I took the 1600x900 display out of B and put it in A. The image looked extremely grainy. It was hard to pinpoint, but it seemed to me that there were tiny vertical lines running between the pixels, perhaps a grayish discoloration of every other vertical row of pixels, or something like that. The little icons in my launch bar in Windows looked very low-res all of a sudden. I disconnected and tried again and still had the same problem. Then I swapped the displays back and everything was just fine as it was to begin with. Does anyone have any ideas why Laptop A cannot properly display the monitor from Laptop B?

Laptop A has this display (the original model, not this compatible replacement): https://www.laptopscreen.com/English/screen-part-number/LTN140AT16-201/

Laptop B has this display (the original model, not this compatible replacement): https://www.laptopscreen.com/English/screen-part-number/LTN140KT04/
