Swapping a Hard Drive

If I build a brand new system, is it possible to simply put a hard drive in the already has an OS on (windows 8) that has been used in an older system, trouble free? If not... How can I do it?

It should definitely be possible assuming that you are only changing one hard drive and no raid features are enabled. Be sure to back up your hard drive somewhere, even if its a usb stick just in case though.

No raid, just a hard drive with an OS and a lot of games

Should be fine. Still remember to backup though,even a free online 15gb is better than nothing!
