[SOLVED] Swapping cpu's question

Just to double check with people, Im swapping out a 3600X to a 5600X, ive already updated to the latest BIOS for my board, ( X570 i aorus pro wifi, now on F31,) before I swap them out, should I go into BIOS and 'load optimal settings,' then save and exit, then change the cpu's over and then finally reenable XMP?(pretty sure that's correct?)

You basically want your bios at all defaults, so if that's how you do it, that's correct.

Otherwise, you can just remove the cmos battery before you do the swap and put it back in afterwards--that should clear the settings too.
