Hello Experts,

Im planning to to change my msi gtx 1080ti to asus strix rx 5700xt gpu
since i have a new monitor gigabyte G32QC 32" 165hz 1440p.
My question is : Is it reasonable? and since i have no budget to buy a 2020 (year) GPU models.

Thank you admin.

What games are you wanting to play? To play modern AAA games at 100+ FPS (to utilise your high Hz) at 1440p is very gpu demanding. If you cannot go for a modern high end gpu you will need to manage expectations of how games will run.

What is the budget?
What make and model is your PSU?

If i remember correctly 1080ti preforms about the same as 2070 super and 5700xt. If thats correct i would only look at rtx 3000 or XR 6000 line up.

I understand you. But the 1080ti is still not a bad card and going to 2070super or 5700xt might not give you any or not much preformance boost so maybe just keep it?

how i wish i can go for 3000 series and 6000 series but now its difficult to have a budget like that.
Then there's no significant upgrade available. The 2080 Ti is the only GPU outside of the new series that is clearly better to the extent that it's worth an upgrade but 2080 Tis are priced just as expensively still.

I see little reason for you to upgrade. There's simply no GPU at 5700XT price that's better than 1080 Ti.

RX5700 is more or less perform on the same performance tier as 1080Ti. slower in some faster in some. at the bare minimum you will want something like RTX2080Ti or RTX3070 level of performance. and even with that you might not going to be satisfied with the performance increase.
