Swapping Lenovo T400 Hard Drives

I have a Lenovo T400 and the screen died. I was thinking about going to ebay buying a T400 with out a hard drive and putting my original hard dive in it. Is this possible? TIA

This is possible but it may just be easier to buy a replacement screen. Open the screen bezel and look on the back of the screen to find the model number which you can then search on your online retailer of your choice to find a compatible replacement. It may be the inverter though so can you describe the problem with the screen?

Hi there Shane_19,

Most probably you should be able to do that as the the hardware of the two systems will be almost identical. Though, it will not hurt to contact the laptop's manufacturer in order to be absolutely sure.
Also, it may be a good idea to consider PizzaTheHutt's idea on just changing the screen.
