Sweet fruity smell from pc?

Solution
have not run NVidia I awile but found this at gforce.com '' Depending on your case airflow, just over 80 degrees is about right for a GTX 760 under load. If the temperature gets much higher then the fan speeds should ramp up again.''

and this for the i5

I use that chip but never had any need to keep tabs on my temps seems to run rock solid and no '' fruity smells'' but if you think it needs to have the cpu cooler reset just get some fresh thermal past and re do it .. better safe than sorry if you fell there's a issue ... I always had built AMD and this is my first intel and I got to admit the cooler mounting leaves a lot to be desired . I really did not know...
It's possible your computer is living a secret alternative lifestyle but is scared to admit it due to the judging social norm of PC culture. Embrace your PC and let him know that you won't think anything differently about it's choices.

Or it's possible you dropped a strawberry inside and it's cooking it.

Personally have never come across a fruity smell from the computer, have you inspected it physically to see if there are any strange burn/heat marks. Maybe you can open it while running and try to pin point the general location.

well its like this it may be just some residue form something used at the plant that did not get cleaned off all the way if your build is running fine just run it if it runs for 3 years it was nothing to worry about if it burns something out then you can say ahh that's what it was or take it apart piece by piece put the part to your nose and sniff it out .. maybe one of the parts manufactures joined forces with air wick ?

Is your computer overheating or getting close to it? Probably what it is.
How many fans do you have/what case do you use? You always want a case with good airflow and multiple fans, not just the stock ones you get for a processor and on the graphics cards.

I really did not know what would be too tight too loose or just right ths custom coolers I used for the AMD all used the positive latch as on the stock cooler .. but I guess I got it right seeing I have not had issues so far
