Which RTX cards is the minimum for playing at 1080p/144Hz or 1440p/60Hz?

I wonder if the 2060 or 2070 could handle it nicely.

And what card is minimum for 1440p/144Hz?

Thanks!

Solution
It comes down to the settings you'll be running. If you're someone who has to crank all the settings to the max, then you probably want a 2080. But, if you're happy to use medium, a 2060 is more than enough for 1080p/144Hz (which takes more running than 1440p/60Hz). As for 1440p/144Hz, a 2060 can still do it, but you will need to lower the settings even more....for max settings you need at least a 2070 and going into the future, maybe even a 2080ti.

It totally upon your setting if you want to run games on 1440p 60 2060 will be fine on medium to high setting but if you want to play on 1080p on ultra setting and wanted to get a more than 100 fps then you need a 2070. So if you ask me for a sweet spot I recommend you to get a 2060, it is capable to give you a good gaming experience on both 1080p and 1440p

Thanks for the solution, I would like to crank all settings to max either with high resolution or high frame rate. And maybe 4K would be my future option.

Oh and one question, is 2080 at 1080p 144Hz pointless?

Probably not pointless in a year or 2. I run 1080p on a 144hz monitor with a Vega 56. On far cry 5 for example, I can run max out very high. I am running a stock speed 1700x which might hold me back a little, but I can generally get 80-100fps. If I had a higher clock speed or a little faster cpu, I suspect it would be higher.

If you want to max things out at 1440P then get a 2080.
