Switch Back to XP

I had a virus on my HP laptop, a friend of mine removed the virus and upgraded my laptop to Windows 8, however it is not compatible with my work from home software. How o I get XP back?

Have you tried running that software in Windows XP compatibility mode? Give it try that might work instead of having to go back to a 12 year old obsolete outdated unsupported OS.

You need the original disks that came with the computer. If you don't have them contact HP and they should be able to help you out with that.
