Switch disk drive to hard drive

I have a SATA drive put into my computer currently, and I don't have the money to buy a new one. There is a SATA drive in my old computer and could i simply just switch the sata disk drive in my computer for that hard drive?

Yes as long as you dont expect it to boot until you reinstall windows.
