Hello im planning of changing my old gpu which is ASUS radeon r9 290 to nvidia 1030, 1050 or 1050ti

Is it possible to switch with these
8Gb ram
750 watts
thanks

Why do you want to change, is there a problem with the 290? As mentioned 3 times above, the 290 is better than any of the replacements you listed.

Funny enough, I'm waiting for a GTX 1060 6GB to arrive that I got cheap enough 2nd hand, then I'll swap out my 290X. I have a buyer for my 290X, my brother. It's costing me almost $100 to do this swap, but I'm getting a newer card that uses less power and for the most part has better performance. So to answer your original question, sure you can swap from AMD to NVidia.

Ok, you've got some kind of issue with your system, it may well be the GPU is overheating, so monitor temperatures and see if that's an issue....if it is there are solutions.

BTW, what are the rest of your system specs? You said 8GB of RAM, but on what CPU?

Ok, 90 is certainly getting up there, although the GPU is actually made to go all the way to 95 :)

Do you keep the GPU drivers up to date?

I'm trying to think why your whole PC would crash if you turn the settings up. The 750w PSU, what make is it? I only ask because a crappy make would possible deliver unstable power while under load......and a R9 290 with a FX 8320 uses a lot of power.
