Hello i am looking for a switch which dose not required external power (looks like not possible 😀)

or a switch that gets power from one of its pulged in PoE CAT6 cable? is that any device available in india?

in my case i had done a concealed fitting for CAT6. one end in my house other end in building stairs(not have any power source at this end). now i want to extend it to building top without any signal loss.

any suggestions?

You could use a POE splitter to get power to the switch. You would just need to purchase a switch that has power requirements that can be met by the splitter (most switches with external power supplies will work). An example of a splitter is this: TP-Link TL-POE10R. To get the power to the splitter you can use your POE switch on the other end or if you don't have a POE switch then use a POE injector, like this: TP-Link TL-POE150S.

I know that this thread has been marked answered but I am posting some more alternatives just in case.

You could use EdgeRouter X. It supports passive POE-in. You could configure it as a switch. It won't be straightforward but Ubiquiti gear is pretty stable and reliable.
