Recently I'm planning to switch my CPU, AMD B450 + Ryzen 5 2500 or Intel Z370 + i5 8600, which one is cheaper? I heard that AMD CPU is highly depending on ram speed, currently I'm using ddr4 2400Mhz, Should I choose AMD or Intel for best budget?

Solution
AMD will be more cost effective....and Intel will give you just a bit more on the FPS side especially at 1080p...

If we are talking just CPU, Motherboard and RAM, you can get a i5-8400 6 core CPU which is great for gaming and only a little way away from the 8600K and 16GB of DDR4 3000 RAM and motherboard for $445.75

You can of course save a bit of money dropping the RAM down to 8GB and choosing maybe a cheaper motherboard...

Both options would give a fairly good gaming setup depending on your GPU...Just to re-iterate the 8400 is very good gaming CPU...

Currently I'm using gigabyte gtx 1080 windforce. Recently I found that my cpu is bottlenecking my gpu, which cpu is better without upgrading the ram speed? As I heard that ram speed have small impact on gaming

Currently I'm using i5 6400 and I found that this cpu is not powerful enough for cpu intensive game, is it worth that I switch i5 6400 to i3 8100?

I think that would not be a good upgrade as the difference is just to small overall and it just would not be worth it, especially pairing with the GTX 1080...I would move heaven and earth to get to a 2600 or 8400
