Hi!

I want to reinstall Windows on my digital audio workstation and I decided to to go from Windows 7 to 10 with a fresh install and enable UEFI partions.

I have the following drives installed:

128gb 850 Pro = Boot drive
250gb 850 Evo = Samples
512gb 850 Pro = Audio
1Tb Baraccuda = Libraries
2Tb Wd Red = Backups

I just want to format the boot drive and keep everything else.

The question: Once Windows 10 is installed, should I reformat every drives using GPT for optimal performance or MBR is perfectly fine? Is there any benefits doing so or it would be a complete waste of time?

Thanks!

MBR is fine so long as you're not going larger than 2Tb or planning on having more than 4 partitions. Beyond that it won't make a single bit of difference, and has nothing to do with performance.
