I need help fast. I took a hardrive out of an asus laptop and put it into an hp pavilion laptop. It booted up and everything worked exept for a messege saying install the acpi atk0100 driver. Also the wireless adapter wotn work because the internet can't find anything. This may seem like a stupid question but how do I fix the acpi atk0100 driver error and get the hardrive to recognize the wirless adapter. Thanks

Solution
The issue isn't about buying it - you can re-install without buying it again. You have 2 machines. Each came with a license for that computer. These licenses aren't interchangeable. You need to install Windows, and activate it with the proper license key - which should be on a sticker on the HP. This way you can be sure that ALL the drivers are correct(HP) and no drivers(from the ASUS) are interfering with the proper operation of the HP laptop.

Not necessarily.
There used to be the official Windows 7 ISO files available from DigitalRiver. That went away a couple weeks ago.
Today, you can get it from here:
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-recovery

But only if it is NOT an OEM installation. To download from there, you must enter your license key. An OEM key will simply say 'Contact your manufacturer' (or words to that effect).
