Switching between DVI-D and HDMI?

Hey guys, I have a BenQ RL2455HM monitor with an HDMI slot and a DVI-D slot. I currently use DVI-D for my PC and was wondering if I would be able to use the HDMI slot for my Xbox One and switch between either one whenever I wanted to. Is this possible? And I don't even know how to switch.

yes its possible and to switch on my monitor i just use the select input option on the monitor menu

Hmm, okay. Do you know if I am able to listen to the sound of something on my PC while having the display on HMDI? (Through a headset)
