Switching between Integrated and Dedicated Graphics

I'm currently running a computer with a dedicated Nvidia graphics card but I was trying to run programs using my integrated Intel graphics instead (as can be done via laptops).

However, my Nvidia Control Panel doesn't have the option of letting me select a graphics processor to use to run a specific program. Currently I'm running a dual monitor set-up, one connected via dvi to my onboard DVI slot, the other connected via dvi to my graphics card.

I have the most up to date drivers for both Nvidia & Intel graphics.

Also I have CPU put as primary display in BIOS and multi-monitor support in ON.

Desktops don't work like that.

Laptops with an Intel GPU & an Nvidia (or AMD) discrete GPU give you the ability to assign one or the other to different applications (including games) in order that battery life can be maximised (since the Intel GPU uses less power than the Nvidia GPU).

Obviously, maximising or conserving battery power doesn't apply to a desktop PC, so the Nvidia Control Panel doesn't have that option.
