Switching Case And Motherboard From Prebuilt PC

Hello. So I have had a HP 8300 Elite SFF Prebuilt for a little over 6 months now, I believe it is time for a new case, but in doing so it requires a new motherboard. I switch between two houses weekly (parental thing) and mobility is a must (hence why I got a small computer from get go).

My specs right now:
i5-3570 w/ Stock cooler
16 GB DDR3 1600 ram (4x4)
GTX 1050ti MSI LP (still have normal bracket)
SSD with windows
HDD with extra storage
Standard SFF case from HP

I plan on getting a refurbished ASUS P8Z77-M LGA-1155 Motherboard from Newegg

I also plan on getting a BitFenix Prodigy M case from Newegg as it is portable and looks decent

What I need to figure out when swapping everything is how my parts will adjust with new motherboard (Processor, hard drives, GPU, etc.), how case will work with new motherboard, how to begin with new motherboard (first time building/setup other than installing GPU+SSD) like with windows. I have windows 10 Pro on my PC right now and I want to keep it but I have no idea how to work a new motherboard's bios along with activation.

I would also like to know what psu works with case, specifically on the cheaper but good side.

I would appreciate the help greatly, thanks in advance!

Solution
Priorities;

1.) That EVGA 500W White is not on the "cheaper but good side." That is one of the worst budget PSUs on the market because it appears to be good simply because it says "EVGA." Don't be fooled. It is only cheap and low quality. Get a new grey label Corsair CX450. That's usually the cheapest but good/decent power supply you can get.
Power Supply: Corsair - CX (2017) 450 W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply ($44.90 @ OutletPC)

2.) I don't like spending so much on used or refurbished motherboards that are so old. Motherboards tend to be the first major component to fail. I would at least encourage you to consider a new motherboard, CPU, and DDR4 RAM. I know that would be more expensive. Just be sure you...

Just be sure you understand that motherboards don't last forever, especially in gaming systems.

3.) Seems like you could save some money on a cheaper case. Plenty of cheaper cases that are pretty good. But again, that's up to you.

Your parts should work with the motherboard and case you selected. You will need to reinstall your OS for optimal performance. Basically, backup anything you can't re-download. Make sure you have your Windows Activation Key. If not, you can link your current one to your Microsoft Account and reactivate later by selecting a major hardware change from the Activation Troubleshoot option. You shouldn't have to mess with the new motherbaord's bios unless you have to select the boot priority.

Solution
Thank you for the input, I like the idea of the psu, but getting newer parts is just not doable for me right now, the new case has handles and is the main reason for my liking, I would like to know if there are any motherboards of my "need" that would be better than this one if you feel it wouldnt be good enough refurbished or older. Didn't mean to downvote your last reply, was very helpful, i just dont know how to use the website :)

That's fine. There's still potential in the LGA 1155 platform because there is the i7-3770K you can get down the road for such a cheap price; and overclocked on the Z77 motherboard along with a higher-end GPU, it can still keep up with the latest games.

Motherboards for that generation are difficult to find. The one you found is pretty decent.
