Hi everyone!
I’ve just subscribed to Tom’s Hardware after being redirected here for basically every question I launched in my search engine, regarding computers obviously.
I’m not entirely sure whether the new guys are supposed to introduce themselves or not… So here I go!
First of all, I’m not tech savvy.
I would like to be, but everything I know about computers is knowledge that I’ve obtained throughout searching the internet for information.
I love (PC) gaming, watching movies, series and most of all: searching the web for possibilities to improve and enhance my build. I’ve searched a lot, but never really take a course of action regarding these plans…
I would like to change that, immediately!
My current rig contains:
Case: AeroCool PGS R Series CyborgX (Midtower)
Core: Intel Core I5 2500K (3.3 GHz)
Motherboard: ASRock Z68 Extreme4
Hard Drive: Samsung SpinPoint F3 (1TB, 7200 RPM, 32MB buffer)
SSD: Crucial M4 (128GB)
Graphic Card: eVGA GeForce GTX 580
Optical Drive: Sony Optiarc AD-7280S
RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws-X (2x4GB)
Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 612S
PSU: Corsair Enthusiast Series Modular TX850M
I would like to change the exterior, make sure that everything would fit and is compatible with it.
Changing it into a BitFenix Prodigy, or Bitfenix Prodigy M perhaps? As I’ve heard that the M-version supports Micro-ATX instead of Mini-ITX. Not sure if this helps in my case?
I really like this case; as it looks neat and would suit my needs. I go to a LAN every now and then and would like to have a case that I can transport easily, isn’t as big as my current one and also looks nice if I just have it next to me at home.
Is there anyone who knows whether my motherboard will fit including the other components without me buying the case to just test it? Or perhaps an instructive template to guide me through this process?
Hopefully this doesn’t sound too stupid or ignorant.
Thanks for the replies!
Accesoir.
