Switching cases, worried about compatibility

i want to switch pc cases, but im worried that the pieces would not be compatible with the new case. My pc is prebuilt, but i have a micro atx motherboard. If the motherboard is compatible with the case, will all pieces be compatible, or is there more to it?

I wouldnt worry too much about case compatibility for your motherboard.
Its the other parts you have: cpu cooler heatsink depth or radiator mounting space, gpu length and maybe psu.
best to have dimensions for your parts written down for reference when you're shopping for cases

Make sure your old board and case weren't proprietary , a lot of pre-builts are.
