Switching from 7700k to 6700k?.

Recently built my first pc specs will follow below I purchased a i7 7700k and im not very impressed with the temps on idle or load have friends with 6700k that get about the same performance but with much lower temps I currently have a Asus z270 prime mobo and wasnt sure if I could swap the cpu to a 6700k any thought would be appreciated

What are your temps?

42c idle and 65c light games and i stress tested it with prime 95 and it exceeded 85c after 10 min without an overclock

Yeah it has thermal "issues".

I was honestly was thinking about switching to a 6700k and selling my 7700k just wasnt sure about z270 mobo with a 6700k
