Switching Mobo and cpu

Ok so I want to switch from h110M and g4560 to some am4 Mobo and a fx 8350. Will the bios be ok? Anything else I need to worry about? thanks

You will need a new windows licence but everything else whould be fine.

FX 8350 wiol NOT work in an AM4 board. Tell us your budget and let us help you choose new parts that will actually work. The old AMD chips are not advisable now anyways

Its AM3+, but gettng one of those leaves you with absolutly no upgrade path and wont even really help you. Although Ryzen processers are better value when building a new system, it may be better for you to just get a new CPU that will work with that motherboard, since windows costs $100 and a CPU change will not require a new licence or reinstall.

This is the best you can do for 150 bucks considering your current setup. You will need to perform a BIOS update before switching the CPUs if you decide to go this route. Although this is a k series CPU, you will not be able to overclock it because your motherboard will not support it.
If you don't think this upgrade is worth it ($140 for about 20% performence upgrade in games as long as your GPU can keep up), consider saving up for better components.

Ok I need 4 cores for sure bc I want to be able to render videos.

Hmm... For rendering, you wont see to great of a performence increase with the higher clockspeeds of the i3 vs your current processor. You really want to try for more cores, like you said. The best value gaming and core/ price wise is the 1600, but it is more than 150 dollars...

Now were looking almost $370... and thats if you get a skimpy, unoverclockable mothebroard, which will come to bite you in the butt down the road and lowers the overall value for money.

I can get windows for c17$ and I really want 8 cores. Should I do that?

A 17 dollar windows licence is illeagal and not garenteed to work. Don't get that. I understand you want eight cores (I'm assuming threads are okay too) but to get that or more, you need an i 7/9, Xeon, or Ryzen 5/7. The R5 1600 is best value in this respect for your games and cores per dollar, but it needs a different motherboard and therefore a new legit copy of windows as well.
I forgot to mention this beofr, but it is wise to wait for the new intel CPUs to come out. The i3-8300 is rumored to be quad core w/ HT, making eight logical cores. You will need a new mobo for that too, and i'm not sure it will beat the ryzen 5 1600 (who could be?) but it is bound to shake up prices when it does come out.
