Switching Motherboards and Windows

I recently switched out my motherboard and cpu (I went from AMD to Intel) and I had Windows 10 installed on my SSD. I've read that Windows is tied to the old motherboard and would not work on the new motherboard but when I turned on the computer, everything works perfectly as is and Windows runs fine. Is there something im missing or anything I don't know of that might not be working properly?

Do you login with your Microsoft account? Do you have the anniversary update?
If so then it has tied your license to your MS account so it will still work even if you change hardware.

Yes, I logged into my Microsoft account and it works. Thank you very much!

A great change in my opinion. Now I don't have to buy Windows again if my motherboard fails and I either can't or don't want to replace with the same model.
