Switching resolutions with NV Surround

Hi. first time here on the forums. So recently I´ve started using triple screens, but unfortunately had to go with a not so convenient 22''- 23'' - 22'' setup. All 3 monitors are 1080p resolution, but as you might imagine, since the monitors are not the same physical size, they don´t line up properly, especially from the middle of the screen and up. This doesn´t bother me during daily usage on the desktop since it just looks a bit weird when windows are transitioning from one monitor to another, but after that I could use them independently. Problem is when I try to play games.

On FPS games, the misalignment does not bother me much, but on racing games it is really distracting and disorienting. There is basically one racing game that I play, and it let me edit a .ini file and choose to render the game at 5760x1080 without having Nvidia Surround enabled, as long as I run it in Windowed Mode. So as a workaround, I changed the 22'' side monitor´s resolution to 1600x900, kept the center 23'' at 1920x1080, changed the positioning of the monitors a bit in the Windows Screen Resolution settings to mimic their physical positioning, and this way it aligns the image in-game almost perfectly. It works, although it adds two black bars on top and bottom of my side monitors, and it makes a little bit blurry because of the non-native res, I don´t mind it for my daily usage. But since not all games allow me to edit .ini's, I would like to enable Nvidia Surround for those. Far from ideal, a bit inconvenient, but it´s what I can do for now.

My question is: Does this changing of resolutions ( enabling Surround to play specific games, 1080p across all 3 screens, then disabling it, changing the side panels back to 1600x900 and use it for my racing game) might damage the panels if done constantly? Apart from the inconvenience, daily changing several times a lcd monitor´s resolution can damage it in some way?

Thank you very much.

Hi there, thanks for the reply!

I´m aware that NV Surround won´t let you change the resolutions individually, and instead just run as a single large 5760x1080 panel.

My concern is regarding the constant changing of resolutions I would manually do everyday. Run a game with Surround mode, then disable Surround, change my side panels to 1600x900 to be able to play my racing sim properly, then for example after a few hours enable Surround again (changing them back to 1080p) to play some other game, etc. My doubt was if changing a LCD panel´s resolution (the switching back and forth between 1600x900 and 1920x1080) a few times a day, everyday depending on what I would like to use it for would damage it in some way.
