Hi,

I own a Gateway NE 522 series laptop.

This is the current radio types supported on the wifi adapter: 802.11b 802.11g 802.11n

How do i change my connection to a 5 ghz connection? I dont see my wifi for the 5ghz connection. Do i need to reinstall my wifi driver? Or is it my network adapter card that needs to update?

Thanks for the help.

Solution
We're going to need more information. What is the make and model of your wireless adapter equipped on your laptop? If the laptop lacks the necessary card for going to 5GHz you could swap it out for a different wireless adapter module that supports 5GHz but will depend on your laptop and if it has a white-list for parts/components.
