Could bad RAM cause BSODs relating to USB faults? I currently have 2x 2gb of gskill pc3-12800 installed and ran Memtest86+ on both and both reported errors. For the first 6-7 months I had the system it ran without problems but now it appears the RAM went bad or something else. So I guess my question is....is it more likely that both sticks went bad at the same time or is the motherboard at fault?

Note: Replaced the PSU with a good one so it's not that.

depending whr u r, static can bomb yr ram and board with tiny craters. silent killer.

no overclocking. try 1 stick on standard speed and test. then try the other ram. u can also slow the ram speed a bit to test. if ok when compared to the standard speed, the memory might have degraded slightly. the only way to confirm mother is ok, is to get another ram to test.

Seriously. Now that RAM is controlled by the CPU it can damage your CPU which in turn can damage anything. Of course, it also means that RAM errors can also originate from the CPU.
