I've been having some issues OCing my A64 3200+ Venice (Rev E6)...
I can get 255 FSB (HTT x3 - CPU x10) but its synchronized with the DDR, so I get 510 MHz on the memory, with 3-4-4-8 timings (2 GB - 4x 512). The problem is that my mem isn't that good... "Markvision" lol
But it has Samsung chips on it, and the official website says is rated 200 MHz @ 3-3-3-8, so it can't be that bad, or not?
The thing is I want to OC my CPU, but not my mem... Is there any way to do it? It depends on the mobo, the bios or the memory controller on the CPU?
Here are the specs:
ASUS A8N-SLI (just like that, no premium, no deluxe)
A64 3200+ Venice (rev E6) Stock cooling
2 GB DDR400 (200 MHz @ 3-3-3-8 )

Anyone knows about it? Did you guys had the same issue? Any help? Thanks!

First off, I must commend you, you did the impossible: You overclocked the ASUS A8N-SLI passed 245MHz, is your comp stable? Set your RAM to DDR333 in the BIOS, it's under CPU Configuration.

OCed it's rock stable
And the DDR timings are set manually (while not OCed), and even then, rock stable
Of course, I don't have it OCed right now, 'cause I'm afraid of frying the mem chips...
With DDR333 set I'm kinda losing almost 1 GB/s of memory bandwith... :(

Last night I was doing some testing and reached 258 FSB, but when tried to launch Sandra to do some benchmarking, the PC rebooted...
255 FSB is the max it can do without any glitches (with my crappy "450W" PSU... kinda miracle isn't it???)

Forgot to thank you, MMM! Thanks!
I lowered the frequency of the DDR, and reached 260 FSB @ 1.5V, barely going above 400 MHz in the mems!
You're the man!
