I have a very big diskstation I just got. Its fully updated. Windows 10 home, updated. When I try to map a network drive to try to upload to it it says "The mapped network drive could not be created because the following error occurred" You cant connect to the file s hare because it's not secure. The share requires the obsolete SMB1 protocol, which is unsafe and could expose your system to attack. Your system requires SMB2 or higher. For more info...

SO let me get this strait, a $4000 NAS system uses an unsecure share protocol or is windows just being crap? Im trying to upload all school, work. Gopro. movies, every type of media I have. I want to share it on my network for my PC and laptop as well as my TV (TCL 6 series right now, roku based). Plan on using plex server most likely. But if I cant upload this is a giant turd.
