I want a new synology to stream plex movies, and mess around with some vm’s.
Some maybe 4k on a mobile phone on occasion.
Will normally just be me streaming possibly one other person on occation.
Will a ds923+ be capable of transcoding 4k stuff with a ryzen chip or would it be better if I got the 423+.

The 923+ is 1080p and the 423+ is 4k capable.
Two 4k streams on the 923+ is pushing it to skip/freeze/lag territory.
The 923+ does not have hardware decoding. only software.
