Diamonds are just carbon. If they perfect the production process, these wafers can be cheap. If they are 2-3 times more expensive, they could still be worth it if they can deliver a similar rise in perf/Watt.

I'm still waiting for that crystal storage tech from 2+ decades ago, so I wont be holding my breath here for diamonds and glass. But using carbon as a cooling substrate does kinda seem like a duh factor....
