Recently purchased 2 120 Scythe fans for my new build. in/out config. I'm still in testing phase. I have no video card untill friday or hard drive .
I have a msi 970A-g46 MB, Fx6350 cpu, a Coolmax 679W Psu, and 8 gb of hyper blu 1600 ram.
When I turn on sys (no video card or Harddrive) I get all 4 leads for cpu indicating it is in 4 phase pwr mode. I get 1 long beep and 2 short telling me no video card. So all good there.
My problem, the sysfan2 works fine. but sysfan1 nothing. The MB for sysfan1 is a 4 pin, But fan has 3. I don't see why that would be a problem. So I switched fan positions and same results, telling me Its not the fan.
Any advise of why my sysfan1 is not working would be appropriated. Is it simply because no video card/ hard drive?
