Sysprep not working

I have tried running sysprep several times now and keep getting a fatal error occured, I have tried many fixes, but no results.

Try it after a fresh reboot and without an internet connection. Sysprep is most commonly run after booting with a Windows PE disc which isn't a full boot. They consider it an audit mode but basically it is like safe mode.

Are you also running it using command line entry?

Start key on keyboard
type cmd (to open command window)
cd \
cd windows\system32\sysprep
sysprep.exe /generalize /oobe

That should work from every time, especially if you are booting from a Windows PE disc.

Still shows fatal error.

Are you using a Windows PE disc to boot from or just running it from your OS already on the PC/laptop? You can download/create a Windows PE disc for free.

I had issues with sysprep on certain laptops also until I started using the Windows Preinstallation Environment boot disc.

I don't know if it was the antivirus software or Windows Defender/firewall software but something seemed to be using the network adapter causing a fatal error for me until I used the PE disc.

There are several ways. You can install Windows Automated Installation Kit (AIK) and build one from there using a tutorial. You could also install a Windows Deployment Server(WDS) and build one from there. I actually got one from ordering the RPK hard drive so I didn't actually have to make one myself but there is plenty of instruction on youtube. You are not supposed to distribute PE .iso files.
