I just put together a computer with a Ryzen 5 2600x installed in a MSI B450 Bazooka v2. Now, the Ryzen 5 is only a temporary measure as I intend to update the BIOS and install a Ryzen 7 3700x, which requires said update. The board does not have a flash button, which is why I'm using the 2600x. The problem I have though is that I can't even access BIOS in the first place, there's no boot screen, and when I hit either DELETE or F-11 the screen basically stays black and nothing else happens.

Now, I'm wondering if it's my monitor, it's VGA and I have it plugged into an HDMI adapter connected to my GPU, which is a Geforce GTX 1660 ti. The processor does not have onboard graphics as far as I know, so plugging the monitor into my motherboard doesn't work. Anyone have any insight?
