So I've had my build for 3 years now.
Left home for the weekend with it on, came back and it had shut down and booted into the BIOS (maybe system update caused restart?)
Exited BIOS, kept booting back in. Saw that my 1TB SSHD isn't shown in Boot Priority nor in the PCH Storage Configuration (SATA ports shown as empty except the one with SSD).
My SSD has windows 10 on it so even if the SSHD isn't detected, it should still boot, no? Connected flash-drive to update BIOS, flash showed up fine, updated, but still no SSHD.
- Checked SATA/power connections.
- Switched around ports (SSD shows in all, SSHD in none)
- Switched power cables from SSD - SSHD, still nope
- Updated/defaulted BIOS
- Disconnecting SSHD entirely to see if I can boot up into windows
Can't think of any reason why this would just suddenly happen on its own? Heard a power surge can cause problems in the BIOS but updating it should be fine?
Specs:
i5-4670k
Asus Z97-C
GTX 970
Corsair 4GB x2 1333MHz
250GB Samsung Evo PRO SSD
1TB Seagate SSHD
