Build Advice System Build specs....what do you think

What do you guys think of the components for this build?
Some gaming, MS Office.....using multiple windows, photo-editing, and soon going to start scanning photos and general use.

I am retired and will not be able to build another full system probably for another 5 to 7 years. Therefore I would like to buy what I can (thus reason for Ryzen 3600 instead of older cpu) and make it upgradeable as well so I can afford the odd component if and when it is necessary.

Motherboard: While the B450 Steel Legend is a nice looking motherboard, unfortunately, it doesn't support Ryzen 3000 out of the box without a bios update.
Consider one of Msi's B450 MAX models, or motherboard that advertises a bios flashback feature. Here's a few examples:

Probably $50 over budget but is lot more powerful as well as reliable. This is around 50% more powerful for gaming.
I included 500GB SSD instead of 1TB as you can add secondary HDD for storage when ever you need.
That is Free-Sync IPS monitor better suited for you. 24" is recommended for 1080p instead of 27".

MY QUESTION(S):
What do you think of system? I want to future proof so that is the reason for the X570 board and the case that really appeals to me.

Should I opt for the Ryzen 5 3600 (which is about $65 more than 3400) OR should I get the R7 2700x (which is only $25 more) ? In either case it would mean adding a video card. I didn't want to spend a lot on the video card at this time and perhaps I can buy a very basic one for less than $100. However, I don't want buyers remorse thinking I should have gone for the higher end and to just bite the bullet with the Zotac Geoforce Super 1660 (AMP)? Or can you see how it could be staggered?

I cannot find a monitor to pair with this. The one listed is sold by a company that may have difficulty fulfilling the order.
I would like a 27" IPS and was hoping for 144 Hz...….open to your thoughts?.

I can vote the gamin plus msi board are solid but msi b450 tomahawk is better.I personally don't see a reason to get an x570 if you are not using PCIe 4.They are OP af.My pc are built to last me 4-5years and it's only a 2600.I would up it a little either 2700x or a 3600.Depends on your budget.

Listen as you are unwilling to upgrade the build or swap it completely for a long period of time like 5-8Yrs. I highly recommend spending bit extra and going for better performance build.

One thing I would like to make it clear is that you don't need to buy Windows10 as it runs completely fine even without activation. You can activate it later at any time.

The list I provided is of high quality and lot better performance.

The Motherboard I recommend purchasing from local retailer. I recommend going out and purchasing it directly from PC component retailer or from ASUS showroom as they provide free BIOS upgrade. ASUS is better in quality than MSI. Specially yhe TUF and ROG STRIX series.

You wont be needing higher refresh rate monitor as even RX5700XT will be unable to push that high fps over that long period of time.

This is more practical, no compromise, high quality and satisfying build that will last you long.

B450 mobo like tomahawk if you wanna upgrade to higher cpu later
Any ddr4 ram will do even the cheap one
Buy RX 580 even used one will come cheap enough
Buy 450-550W PSU like cooler master, be quiet u9, or Bitfenix whisper
Buy a good case if you want

Some of the technical mumbo-jumbo will likely go over your head - Buildzoid goes over it for like a few seconds, and then goes "Oh no...", and moves on.
Asus and Gigabyte appear to be #1 for the X570 budget range.
