System Config error

I just built new pc and went to put windows 7 on it comes up starting windows then goes to blue screen before i can put windows on m5a97 evo fd fx chip brand new hard drive memtest is ok. I been working on it for days now and same thing over and over

what cpu and ram make and model are you using on that motherboard? can you reach bios and see no faults?

Amd fx fd4170 cpu and 4 gig kingston ram i can get to bios but get blue screen when i go on to install windows from usb

okay which leads me to ask, where did you get the Windows 7 copy iso and how did you make the USB device ?

I sorted out my bsod was a currupted windows if i use to much thermopaste could that cause it to randomly shutdown sometimes 10 mins sometimes an hr?

if you use too much thermal Paste between cpu and heatsink, the problem will cause the cpu to overheat and yes shutting down could happen,.
I would load HWINFO and check the CPU temps. and possibly need to redo the thermal paste (nothing bigger than a pea size ifs needed)

I got temp in bios i sits between 41 and 48 degrees c i might look at buyin new ram as thats the only old thing i got in it if the paste drips down can that cause a shutdown? I built this cause my lappy to slow on some games

Does having 11.85 volts effect anything?
