System crashed while overclocking!!!

I have this AMD sempron 140 on ASrock mobo that comes with an OC utility.
I was OCing my CPU frequency not voltages and it crashed (monitor full of coloured stripes).
Is that because i have integrated GPU and is it SAFE TY

I would not overclock a Sempron processor because it is only for light duty work. You only want to overclock AMD Black Edition processors.
