hello,
i have recently upgraded my brothers system with an new motherboard, cpu cooler and an new hard drive/os but now, after a copple of days, the games crashes after a couple of minutes.
the specs are:
AMD Phenom ii X6 1065T
MSI 970A gaming pro carbon
16 GB (4X4) 1333 ram DDR3
AMD R9 270X ASUS
Corsiar VS550
Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO

the PSU and the GPU are both out of my old system that had no problems for the past 1.5 years.

i am running Memtest at the moment but i have read more post on the site but i havent seen a thing that would be relevant on this case.

on the motherboard are also lights that tell what has failed or not detected. there is first the Dram light shines and after that the VGA light comes on.

i will update this post when memtest is finished.

for any more information about the system, ask me.

a. If Memtest x86 shows and errors (in red), then you need to test each stick separately and RMA/discard the ones that throw errors (in red)

b. Do you get a Blue Screen error? If you're on Windows 7 or earlier, you can post the STOP code w/ parameters and link to the dump file (located at C:\windows\MEMORY.DMP and any recent files in C:\Windows\Minidump\). If you're on Windows 10, it won't show a stop code or parameters, but ERROR_NAME_GOES_HERE part will still show up.

c. If you can get into Windows normally (no safe mode) at all, you should disable any overclocking you may or may not have done. Use HWMonitor or the manufacturer utility to monitor temperature and power consumption (<-power usage only if you're OC)

it just shuts off the game and nothing else. it is very weird

My apologies, I misread your question; is it just the game shutting down or the whole system? If it's just the game then I still say you should have a temperature monitor open that logs max and min

it only crashes the game. the temps are:
cpu: 40-50c
gpu: 60-70c
i have also been stress testing now for 15min prime95 and furmark.
there are still no issues and all temps are stable

The GPU temps are on the high end of normal and the very low end of a bit high, but nothing to be concerned about if they go no higher. CPU temps are good. Do all games crash or just one/a few? If it isn't everyone you can try running the game in compatibility mode or a lower version of DirectX if it lets you.

we just tried alian isolation and it also crashed. compatibilitymode is not the thing i guess

Does it say anything when it crashes or does the screen go black and return to the desktop? It may be an issue with the graphics driver. If your motherboard/CPU has onboard graphics, try using that, uninstalling the GPU driver, and installing a newer version. If you are on the newest version, rollback a bit.
