Every other time I play Halo1 PC my game crashes and I get a non-recoverable
blue screen on Win XP Pro. I have a 3Ghz P4, 1Gig Ram, a Radeon 9800 128mb
video card. I never have this problem with any other game?? Anyone else have
this problem or know of a soloution?

What does the error say.
Try the ATI group, and list the rest of your system. It could easily be a
soundcard issue or maybe even hyperthreading if your CPU does that.

Actually there is no error message. All I get is a blue screen and total
lockup. I do have hyperthreading on my 3Ghz P4 and it is enabled.
I have checked the ATI group and found no problems there and also made sure
I have the latest driver.

Thanks,

Reb

Shot in the dark, try a very slightly older driver if you can dig one up.
Sometimes new versions have new bugs...

What frame rate, refresh rate and resolution are you using? I have a 2.8 P4C
with 512 Mb of DDR400 RAM and an ATI Radeon Pro All-in-Wonder with 128Mb on
XP home and it runs Halo with ease. The only time it hung up was after I
upped the frame rate, raised the refresh rate on the monitor and kicked the
rez up very high for better peripheral vision. THAT's when it failed. Try
lowering your settings a bit.

Im at 1280x1024 Resolution with everything cranked up and 85 hz Refresh
Rate. Every other Game I have runs at this rate or higher? These Settings
match my screen settings. Reb
