So I'm pretty new to the community but I was wondering if anyone could help. I recently purchased Cities: Skylines on steam. After launching it the game ran fine for about 10 minutes. Then the game's visuals crashed. The game was still running, but all it displayed was the windows border and the desktop. I forced quit the game and tried again. This time, the game lasted half as long, and the screen distorted, the background music starting to skip too. Now, whenever I try to launch ANY game (steam or non-steam) The game crashes. Sometimes I get the blue screen, sometimes the computer freezes. Games that previously ran fine now won't run at all. Everytime I can always load the menu with no trouble, however. Every other part of my computer works fine too, I can still watch videos and listen to music. In-Browser games work fine too. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My specs are
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU 950 @ 3.07GHz
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560 Ti
8.0 GB
Microsoft Windows 10 64 - bit

(I'm kinda clueless when it comes to more detailed computer specs an stuff so sorry if this isn't enough info...)

Solution

Seems like your problem is with your Graphics card
1.Try cleaning it and install it firmly (it can short sometimes)

2.Go to the Nvidia Control Panel and reset all settings to default (you might have unintentionally changed something)
