System Crashes When Secondary HDD Added

Currently running a Samsung 840 EVO 128 Gb SSD with windows 8 installed to boot (running fine with out errors) and when using an additional 1 TB Caviar Blue WD HDD the system crashed within minutes giving different BSOD error messages each time.

I have tried using different SATA cables, changing which SATA port it is plugged into as well as trying to plug the HDD into a different computer which it appeared to work (didn't run any diagnostic tests)

What does the crash say??

Installed hard drive again to copy exact wording of crash messages and for some reason it worked this time. I have no explanation. Did everything the same.
