I have a "slight" problem with my Win7 pc build. Its around 3-4 years old, medium-high end, built from parts.
I had a little break from using it, and now it started crashing.
When i boot it up, it hangs quite a long time on the windows loading screen, and when it gets to login screen, it freezes completely when i try to type my password. After couple of forced shutdowns and restarts, and a bit of luck, it boots up to windows, and works quite well.
But the mysterious part is, that when starting after forced shutdown it starts chkdsk, but gives error message saying something about not being able to acces files and that a software install may have blocked access.
Yesterday it automatically installed latest updates, and i left it updating and went to bed. When i woke up it was still on, with a bluescreen. I sadly did not write up the error.
Now, when booting up, it tries to finish the installation, but freezes.
I have 2 possible reasons for it, but i really cant say whats wrong.
Either its malware, or my HDD dying,
Ive been getting disk read errors when booting since i first time used the *brand new* hdd. (It was probably already faulty when i got it.)
Help appreciated.
