Over the past few months it kept dying only to eventually come back to life. Now it is DOA. Is there any way to know if its the MOBO or some other component? How does one go about figuring this out? And if its impossible can I use anything in a new system

Current System (2015 Build)
SAMSUNG XP941 MZHPU512HCGL-00004(0) M.2 2280 512GB PCI-Express 2.0 x4 MLC

Intel Core i7-5930K Haswell-E 6-Core 3.5GHz LGA 20

G.SKILL Ripjaws 4 series 32GB (4 x 8GB) 288-Pin DD

ASRock X99 Extreme6 LGA 2011-v3 Intel X99 SATA 6Gb

EVGA SuperNOVA 850 G2 220-G2-0850-XR 80+ GOLD 850W

XFX Radeon R9 290X DirectX 11.2 R9-290X-8DFD 8GB 512-Bit DDR5 PCI Express 3.0 Double Dissipation Edition

I would start by stripping the system down to the fewest components possible (one stick of ram, only keyboard connected, boot drive) and re-seating all power supply connections to the motherboard, gpu, drives, etc.

If that's a no-go, carefully conduct a psu paperclip test to see if the psu will even power up:

If it does not, or the issue still seems to be PSU related, contact EVGA about RMAing the unit for repair/replacement as they have a 10 year warranty.

After posting (of course) I decided to put my m.2 drive back in and try to start it. It initially said it couldnt start windows (7) so I ran a memory check which didnt find any errors but it then booted into windows. I am going to run a video card test. The psu is new within the past year as the original died.Wish I had known about a 10 year warranty. I do have a psu tester as well and will check that again. As of this minute it is running. I have stripped all of the other drives out of it
