System Fan Header Issue

When I plug my case fan into the system fan header on the mobo, it won't boot up. The light on gpu and cpu fan will turn on for just a sec and spin then nothing after. But if I unplug my fan from the header then everything works. Is this a motherboard issue or what? Cause I have my fans running now, just always 100% running cause I can't control them since they're not connected to mobo. Any help is appreciated.

I didn't plug them in wrong, there's only 2 fan headers on mobo, CPU Fan and the SYS Fan....

they a 3 pin aren't they? and the motherboard use 4 pin? are you using an adapter?

Yes they are 3 pin and mobo is 4 pin, and no im not using a connector. Shouldn't it still work anyways since all 3 poles would be getting power?

But why would it matter if all 4 plugs were filled on the mobo it still shouldn't have done that.

so now the system will boot up but the fan don't turn on?

Sorry for selecting best answer, but yes. The system will boot but the fans do not turn on

Yes i am using the extended cable. I'm plugging 3 female fan connectors (the fans) to 3 of the male connectors on the extended cable. Then plug the 4 pin female into the 4 pin male in the mobo, I will check my manual again.

Okay, so i plugged the fan into the system fan header and the fan lights up as it's an led fan, but will not spin
Other than that, i usually have the fans connected via molex cables, so they run 100% all the time

Tried both of the other 2 and same thing, just light, no spin when set at full speed. I even loaded a game and ran it fr about 5 minutes and still no spin.

Yeah but i just bought these fans last week, surely their not going out yet

When we try to figure an issue. we need to do it one thing at a time to rule out false positive. As of now, I still think you connected it wrong.
So by trying the other 2, and if they both fail, we can either assume the motherboard or still you connected it wrong.
