System fan mount

How should I mount my sytem fan? My motherboard only has 1 CPU and 1 SYSTEM. In my case I can only mount the fan at the back, next to the cpu cooler or between the cpu and the gpu( on the same panel, different spots). Where should I mount it? Should it be intake or exhaust?

That position should always be an exhaust. Otherwise it pulls GPU heat back into the case.

What case do you have? If you can't find the model, a photo of the back of the case will suffice.

your psu have vent on top for hot air also could you put a fan in front and use a y splitter to feed both fans .

That's an old-school setup. Those work best with fans in both slots. If I had to choose, I'd use the upper slot, though.

To run two fans, use a two-way splitter.
