Hi all,

I purchased a system last year but haven't been using it for graphically intensive games until now. Now that I am I feel like I'm not getting the fps I'm expecting from my system. I've been running Monster Hunter World recently and I seem to be capping at 40~45fps at the lowest settings and 35~40 at highest which seems very odd for a 2080. Where as other friends I know are running smooth 60fps with a 2080 as well . I'm currently running at 1920x1080 res.

I've found online someone else testing with the Same CPU and a lower graphics card (RTX 2070) and they seem to be getting roughly 50fps at a higher resolution.

I'm honestly curious if its simply my hardware having an issue or could there be another factor affecting this that I'm not aware of. It's probably not enough but there's some details on the system below. Maybe someone can compare with a similar build to see if my system is performing as expected or worse.

Here's my Benchmark below:
https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/27659227
UserBenchmarks: Game 94%, Desk 74%, Work 66%
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600 - 76.4% (Heavily below average)
GPU: Nvidia RTX 2080 - 109.5% (Heavily below average)
SSD: Crucial BX500 240GB - 34.6%
SSD: Crucial BX500 480GB - 81.9%
USB: WD Elements 25A2 1TB - 42.5%
RAM: Micron 8ATF1G64AZ-2G6E1 2x8GB - 85.4%
MBD: Biostar B45M2

I've also run some Unigine Heaven Benchmarks below at different overclocking with MSI afterburner:

+0 Clock:

+23 Clock:

+40 Clock:

If you've read through the info dump then thanks. Hopefully someone has some idea about what might be going wrong.

if this is your ram:https://www.amazon.com/Micron-MTA4ATF51264HZ-2G6E1-PC4-2666V-2666MHz-260pin/dp/B07HCPYXLH

Than its so low for ryzen 2600.3200mhz is the least i would suggest if you are going for ryzen 5 build. Also delete all your files and programs u dont use,run disk cleanup and defragmentation, also close some background games while gaming, and clean your pc (internally)

I was thinking the RAM wasn't the best but do you reckon it will drop the system's performance by that much.

As for CPU/GPU temp they seem to be at 60 and 40ish while I was running the game.

Yea, I've tried the other stuff as well, disk defrag, clean up etc. Normally would help but in this case as there wasn't too much old data/disk defrag.

Maybe it is the RAM. I might try upgrading it then and see if it makes a difference but happy to hear if any one else has ideas.
